Program Description
History combines the excitement of exploration and discovery with the reward of successfully confronting and making sense of complex and challenging problems. The program is excellent preparation for graduate studies in history, as well as careers in areas such as teaching, law, archival studies, international affairs, journalism and public administration.
The major in History equips students with the skills needed to uncover and analyze the events, processes and ideas which shape the past and to appreciate how an understanding of the past helps inform the present and the future.
