Queen Mary University of London

Data Centric Systems Engineering MSc(Full Time)

  • 1 years

Program Description

Systems Engineering is a transdisciplinary approach required for the development of large, complex, and reliable systems, whether these are products, services, or enterprises. It provides the means for the integration of specialist disciplines to provide a structured development process that evolves from concept through production to operation or delivery.

This programme places a strong emphasis not only on technical contents in our modules, but also on cross disciplinary skills vital for an engineer to be effective in the work place and within the systems engineering field

  • Get involved in internationally leading research with industry partners at a top UK university
  • Be taught by world-leading academics and have regular contact with them throughout the programme
  • Work in our state-of-the-art facilities
  • Learn the core of systems engineering, consisting of foundational topics with a strong focus on engineering design and development using advanced simulation, model-based design, data analytical and machine learning techniques.
  • Gain knowledge at the level required to become an Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) within the INCOSE certification programme, and have the necessary capabilities to work towards the Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP).
  • What you'll study

This programme covers the core of systems engineering, consisting foundational topics with a focus on engineering design and development

We provide training for future system architects and project leaders in the field of specification, design, deployment, and maintenance of complex systems

You will learn advanced computational, experimental and analytical techniques applicable to Systems Engineering providing an advanced base of knowledge and skills. Including advanced computational and experimental techniques applicable to modelling and simulation of Systems Engineering, whilst also including design procedures used by Systems Engineering research and implementing materials into research/design projects.

You will be able to understand new models, techniques, and technologies, and appreciate the necessity of such continuing professional development.

You will gain advanced knowledge on significant and rapidly emerging needs and trends in practicing systems engineering in areas of model-based systems engineering, digital engineering and artificial intelligence, and research capability.
